The Caravelle Saigon hotel is also running wedding packages from $25 per guest. Caravelle Hotel Saigon Cooking Classes

The Caravelle Hotel, known throughout Vietnam for food traditional and innovative cuisine, now offers special one-day cooking classes conducted by the hotel’s executive sous chef, Bao Tuan. The day starts early for all participants. Cyslos leave the hotel at 8 am bound for Ben Thanh Market, where Chef Tuan advises his students how to hand-pick the freshest ingredients.

After that, everyone returns to the hotel kitchen where Tuan personally takes his students through the preparation and presentation of an entire menu, from fresh prawn spring rools with hoi sin peanut sauce to barbecued aubergine, braised river prawns with Vietnamese curry, fried spring roll, beef luc lac, chicken salad with herbs, sour and spicy fish, soup, and banana dessert.

The best part of class is when everyone gets to eat what they’ve cooked at lunch in the Caravelle’s restaurant Nineteen.

All participants receive copies of recipes the cooking class package, starts from $40 per person, plus 5 percent tax. The classes, with a minimum of 10 participants and minimum of 10 participants and maximum of 15, must be booked at least seven days in advance.
